It was a long time ago, way before the Weber iGrill2 came along, when I first heard about probe thermometers. It was on Alton Brown's cooking show, "Good Eats", when he recommended probe thermometers. I've been using them ever since, and I've been through lots of them, expensive ones, cheap ones, and even remote control ones. But the best one I've had so far has been and continues to be the iGrill2. I've been personally using it for over a year. It's a great Bluetooth probe thermometer for grilling, smoking, or even roasting or baking in your oven. I use it all the time, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
A while back, I posted about how I vented my microwave through an exterior wall. One of our readers asked whether the way I did it was “up to code”. It was, but I had forgotten to include in my post a photo of the duct work piece that showed that it was. Meeting code for duct work is important, but meeting code for electrical work may be even more important.

A sewer cleanout is a sewer pipe that gives you access to your home's sewer line. Should a backup occur, getting to a sewer cleanout quickly can save you money and reduce the damage from an overflow inside your house. So, it's critical for maintaining your connection to your sewer system.
To make sure they are easily accessible, sometimes a builder will install a sewer cleanout above grade. Sometimes that's because of a local law on how high above ground a sewer cleanout has to be.
But a sewer cleanout that is above ground has its own set of problems. Luckily, I've found a pretty easy and cheap solution.
